Joseph “Pat” Vermillion

June 9, 1955 – November 17, 2022

Mr. Joseph “Pat” Vermillion, also known as Pat the Plumber, 67, of Roanoke, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2022.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Denise Dare Mitchell Vermillion, and his parents, James and Frances Vermillion.

Pat is survived by his two children, James Robert Vermillion and Desireé Starr Vermillion; two grandchildren, Ivory Nichole Shortt and Dylan Patrick Cross, and Silas Joseph Kingery; furry companion, Lucie; brothers, Mike Vermillion and Timmy Vermillion; four sisters, Stephanie Vermillion, Barbara Stober, Jane Page, and Trisha Vermillion; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other extended family .

He ran a plumbing business called Plumbing Services by Pat. Pat had a generous heart and was always helping people. He loved Harley’s but most of all he loved his family.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at Oakey’s South Chapel with Mr. Timmy Vermillion officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 p.m. and from 6 until 8 p.m. on Monday, November 21, 2022, at Oakey’s South Chapel. Online condolences may be shared with the family at
