Natasha Rochelle at Trader Joe’s List shared her aggravation on TikTok, calling the issue one of her “biggest pet peeves.”

She opened her dishwasher, showing how one of the mugs on top had water trapped on the underside that had collected when it was upside-down.

The TikToker asked viewers if they had any tricks for doing away with the excess moisture, and one delivered.

The account for McMullan Appliance & Mattress in Smiths Falls, Ontario, Canada chimed in with a viral video.

He opened up his own empty dishwasher to demonstrate, pulling the top shelf all the way out.

Then he showed that the plastic pieces on the side aren’t just for fastening the shelf in.

They’re also adjustable.

He simply pushed the end of the plastic tab, and that side of the shelf dropped about an inch.

When he pushed the shelf back in, it was at a diagonal, allowing any moisture to drip off the tops of cups and mugs.

The cleaning hack video has been viewed 1.5 million times, and commenters are blown away by the trick.

“I audibly gasped. Brilliant,” wrote one.

“What the what!!!” wrote another. “Can it be this simple?? How did I never think oh this!”
